AgFutura Technologies successfully conducted the 1st Annual Living Lab Workshop for the needs of the CODECS project. The aim of this workshop was to identify and understand how farmers, policymakers, and advisors perceive the various social, economic, and environmental aspects related to farm digitization, as well as the costs and benefits inherent in this process.
The workshop witnessed active participation and a spirit of collaboration, as all attendees actively engaged in the Mapping of Conducive Ecosystems. They provided valuable insights by responding to the proposed questions and engaging in discussions about the challenges faced when adopting digital technologies in agricultural production. As a result of the workshop, we will compile comprehensive lists of resources, capabilities, potential collaborations, and innovative solutions within the framework of the Living Lab.
Additionally, after the workshop, we conducted a focus group on stakeholders’ perceptions of the costs and benefits related to digitalization. The discussion proceeded seamlessly, allowing us to gain a deeper understanding of the current state of digitalization within our country by addressing a series of ten relevant and applicable questions.
By examining synergies and trade-offs between stakeholders, the workshop and focus group provided valuable insights to inform policy-making and support sustainable agricultural practices. In addition, the joint generation of knowledge will be enhanced to maximize the advantages of rural and agricultural digitization through a collective and inclusive approach.
