ACCELERATE proposes the development of a fertile inter-discipline and inter-sectoral ecosystem that aims to radically contribute towards enhancing UAV technology to enable sustainable environmental management.

The ACCELERATE project is divided into six Work Packages (WPs):

• WP1 ensures effective project management by overseeing administration, financial coordination, risk management, quality control, and compliance to maintain smooth implementation and partner collaboration.
• WP2 focuses on developing UAV hardware, including an atmospheric sensing system, a BVLOS telemetry system with fail-safe communication, and a Satellite IoT communications system, ensuring advanced, efficient, and safe UAV solutions.
• WP3 develops UAV software, defining architecture, integrating AI-based object detection, optimizing deep learning models, and enabling cloud-based and hybrid computing for efficient data processing.
• WP4 designs, implements, and evaluates use cases, establishing requirements, executing case studies, and assessing performance to refine methodologies and meet end-user needs.
• WP5 analyzes the social, economic, and environmental impact of UAV applications in agriculture and cultural heritage, providing policy recommendations for sustainability.
• WP6 focuses on dissemination and market adoption through outreach, workshops, and a long-term strategy for Drone as a Service (DAAS) solutions.

Ag Futura Technologies will contribute in project ACCELERATE by integrating innovative UAV-based monitoring solutions, ensuring precise agricultural land assessment and supporting data-driven decision-making for sustainable farm management.
