AgFutura Technologies is seeking farmers from the Republic of North Macedonia to participate in field trials aimed at measuring the benefits associated with legume crops, using simple and practical monitoring methods.

The LegumES project aims to address key challenges in modern agriculture by focusing on the environmental, economic, and social benefits of legume crops. The project promotes their cultivation as a solution to reduce dependence on synthetic nitrogen fertilisers, lower greenhouse gas emissions, improve soil health, and create more diverse and resilient agricultural systems.

For this purpose, we are looking for participatory farmers to take part in measuring the benefits of legumes by applying easy-to-use and readily applicable monitoring methods. These field trials represent an important first step towards understanding how the ecosystem services provided by legume crops can be assessed and valued.

The project will deliver practical and scalable solutions that contribute to more sustainable agriculture and will support the development of appropriate policies and governance mechanisms across Europe.

Become a LegumES farmer – together, we will provide evidence of the ecosystem benefits of legume crops.

Selected farmers will receive financial support for setting up the experiment, as well as guidance on trial design and the monitoring process.
