We’re proud to announce that Project VALERECO was presented at the 92nd International Agricultural Fair in Novi Sad, Serbia, one of the most prominent agri-events in Southeast Europe. The fair offered an excellent platform to highlight the project’s mission and share its innovative approach with farmers, researchers, and stakeholders from across the region.
VALERECO (Valorization Legumes Related Ecosystem Services) is a Horizon Europe-funded initiative focused on promoting the integration of legume crops into European farming systems. Legumes play a key role in building climate-resilient, biodiverse, and sustainable agriculture by improving soil health, reducing reliance on synthetic fertilizers, and boosting protein self-sufficiency in the EU.
With a consortium of 15 partners from 11 countries, VALERECO is structured around nine Living Labs located in diverse pedo-climatic regions. These Living Labs are real-world testing grounds where farmers, scientists, policymakers, and industry representatives co-create practical, economically viable, and environmentally sound legume-based cropping solutions.
By participating in the Novi Sad Fair, project VALERECO, presented by the Ag Futura Technologies’ team, engaged with a broad audience to share insights, gather feedback, and strengthen collaboration opportunities in the Balkans and beyond.
