Project Overview
Drip irrigation is a type of micro-irrigation system that has the potential to save water and nutrients. This system allows water to drip slowly to the roots of plants, either from above the soil surface or buried below the surface. Depending on how well designed and operated it is, a drip irrigation system can be more efficient than other types of irrigation systems.
Drip irrigation has a significant impact on productivity therefore on the economies of sunflower and soybean production.Research show that there is a purchase 160 tons of sunflower and soybean in 2008 and 189 tons in 2009.
Ag Futura developed this model for assessments of broader economic impact of implementation of drip irrigation in soybean and sunflower production in the Republic of Macedonia.
