The project Remote Agricultural Monitoring and Advisory System – RAMAS presents an applicative solution of interoperable configurations of internet of things (IoTs-C) that provide reliable data for small and large scale crop Monitoring and Advisory. This data is generated by multiple resources such as satellite imaging, drone imaging and weather stations.
As part of the project, AGFT installed a weather station in the selected region to monitor and generate reliable data needed for the advisory system which is RAMAS.
Information generated from the weather station and a report specially prepared for the farmers on that region are sent every week containing data such as:
- Weather forecast
- Minimal and maximal temperature
- Air humidity
- Precipitation
- Wind
- Additional information such as: soil and electrical conductivity, soil moisture, leaf wetness etc.
This report also contains specialized agricultural advises (spray window, evapotranspiration, and environmental hazard alerts).
