Ag Futura Technologies, in collaboration with the Faculty of Agriculture at the “Goce Delchev” University in Shtip, successfully carried out the spring sowing on the experimental fields designated within the CARBONICA project.
In the second experimental year, the main crops planted were maize and sunflower, with the aim of comparing the results of applying different agricultural practices. Some of the fields are managed using conventional practices, while others follow carbon farming practices. Within these practices, maize is intercropped with beans, and barley will be sown as a cover crop in the sunflower fields.
Additionally, during the sowing process, measurements were conducted using the CARBONICA Toolbox, which monitored parameters such as soil temperature and moisture, as well as CO₂ concentration.

These activities are part of CARBONICA’s vision to support carbon farming as a solution for sustainable production and reduction of greenhouse gas emissions.
