On December 17, at the Faculty of Agriculture in Štip, a workshop was held as part of the LEGUMES project – “Valorizing the Ecosystem Benefits of Legume Crops in the Macedonian Agri-Food System.”

The aim of the workshop was to identify the benefits of legume crops, explore opportunities and challenges for their wider application, and build communities for their production and consumption. Professors, students, farmers, companies, consumers, and representatives from institutions participated in the workshop, discussing the strengths and weaknesses of these crops and working on scenarios for their increased usage.

The LEGUMES project spans four years and involves 22 partners, aiming to determine the ecosystem benefits of legume crops and promote best practices for their cultivation.

As part of the project, Ag Futura Technologies organizes workshops, identifies areas for knowledge enhancement, and provides guidance on the environmental and economic benefits of legume crops.

This workshop represents an important step toward a better understanding of the potential of legume crops in sustainable agriculture.
