What this product is

Continuous monitoring of solar radiation

The sensor measures global solar radiation in the 300 to 1100 nm spectral range. The silicon photoelectric element provides fast response, low power consumption and stable operation in agrometeorological conditions.

The technical values apply to the selected RS485 version for integration with the AGRO VEDA station.

Mounting and measurement recommendations

  • Mount the sensor horizontally on a stable bracket, with the dome facing up and no shadows from surrounding elements.
  • Fix it with two M6 × 20 screws; drill the bracket holes 80 mm apart.
  • With the dome facing down it can track reflected radiation, and when tilted, radiation on an inclined plane.
  • To measure diffuse radiation, use suitable shading; sunshine hours are calculated in the connected logger.
