Features and applications

Key features

Built for low wind speeds

A light, sturdy three-cup rotor with signal processing integrated into the housing.

  • Low starting threshold below 0.5 m/s
  • Carbon-fibre rotor
  • Lightweight and sturdy construction
  • High corrosion resistance
  • Simple flange mounting

Applications

Where it is used

Suited to fixed and mobile monitoring wherever reliable wind data is needed.

  • Agrometeorological stations
  • Greenhouses and agricultural land
  • Solar and wind energy systems
  • Industrial and environmental monitoring
  • Ports, airports and mobile stations
What this product is

Stable measurement at low wind speeds

The sensor uses a sensitive three-cup anemometer to continuously measure wind speed and wind run. The carbon-fibre rotor has low mass, a low starting threshold and good corrosion resistance, and signal processing is integrated into the housing.

The technical values apply to the selected RS485 version and can be adapted to the configuration of the AGRO VEDA station.

Mounting recommendations

How to install the sensor for accurate readings.

Before installation:

  • Mount the sensor on a stable support using the flange and four screws.
  • The anemometer shaft should be vertical and the base horizontal.
  • The connector diameter is Ø15 mm; a Ø25 mm opening is recommended for cable routing.
  • Place the sensor in free airflow, away from nearby obstacles that create turbulence.
